Editorial Policy

Who writes this, how it is funded, what it has been checked against, and what it is not.

This site is not medical advice

Everything here is information to help you research and compare clinics. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment recommendation. No one on this site has examined you or seen your results. Decisions about fertility treatment should be made with a qualified reproductive endocrinologist who has. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services rather than a clinic listing.

Who writes this

One person writes the editorial content on this site. Every article carries a byline linking to a profile page stating what that person's background actually is.

Medical review

None of the 37 articles on this site has been reviewed by a clinician.

We publish articles that describe medical procedures. We are not clinicians. Where an article has been checked by a doctor, it carries a “Medically reviewed by” line naming them, their credential, and the date — and that line appears only when a named clinician has actually reviewed it.

We do not currently have a medical reviewer. We would rather say that than attach a plausible-looking name to the content, and we are working on arranging clinical review for the articles that describe procedures. Until then, treat clinical descriptions here as background reading and confirm anything that matters with your own doctor.

What we do check ourselves: that prices come from the clinic that charges them, that accreditation claims match what we have on file, and that we do not state a success rate we cannot source. We publish no success-rate figure we have not been given by the clinic, and we mark it as self-reported when we do.

How this site makes money

Clinics can pay for a featured placement, which puts their listing at the top of their city's page and in the hero slot. Featured listings are labelled. Paying does not change what we record about a clinic, does not add a COFEPRIS badge, does not add a price, and does not remove anything from a listing.

Outbound links to clinics carry rel="sponsored" and are click-tracked, because click counts are what featured placement is sold against. No clinic has ever been added to or removed from this directory in exchange for money, and a clinic that stops paying keeps its listing.

What we will not do: sell a position in an article, describe a paying clinic as “best” because it pays, or publish a clinic's marketing claims as our findings. Where a clinic makes a claim we cannot source — a 100% success rate, for instance — we record it and do not render it.

How we handle being wrong

Directory data goes out of date. Prices change, clinics move, and a phone number that worked in March stops working in September. If you find something wrong on this site — a price, a phone number, a service a clinic does not actually offer, or a clinic that has closed — tell us and we will check it and correct it.

Corrections to facts are made in place. Where an article has been materially revised rather than tidied, the “last reviewed” date on it moves, so you can tell the difference between a page that was checked recently and one that has simply had a typo fixed.

Clinics can also claim their listing to correct their own details.

Language

This site is published in English for patients travelling from the United States and Canada. Some clinic descriptions were collected from Spanish-language sources and have not yet been translated; where that is the case the listing says so rather than presenting untranslated text as if it were written for this audience. We do not currently publish a Spanish edition.
