Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we deliberately do not, and how to reach us about it.
Last updated: September 2026
The short version
- ·You can browse this entire directory, and contact any clinic on it, without giving us anything.
- ·There is no patient enquiry form. We never hold your fertility history, your diagnosis, your treatment plans or your messages to a clinic.
- ·We count outbound clicks to clinics, because that is what clinics pay us for. That count contains no name, no email and no IP address.
- ·We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
What we record when you click through to a clinic
Every link from this site to a clinic's website, WhatsApp, phone or email passes through our own server first, so that we can count it. Clinics buy placement here on the basis of that count, so it has to exist and it has to be accurate.
One row is written per click, containing:
- ·Which clinic — so the clinic can be shown its own number.
- ·The date and time — so a month can be invoiced.
- ·The city — so city totals can be reported.
- ·Which channel — website, WhatsApp, phone or email.
- ·Which part of our site you clicked from — a homepage card, a city page, a guide.
- ·Whether that clinic was in a paid slot at the time — so we can show whether the slot did anything.
- ·The page on our site you came from — the path only, and only when it is one of our pages. A link from anywhere else is discarded.
- ·Mobile, desktop or bot — a single word. Bot traffic is excluded from what clinics are billed for.
Not in that row: your IP address, and not your browser's user-agent string either. An earlier version of this tracker stored both. They were removed because nothing we sell needs them, and a fertility directory holding a log of who visited which fertility clinic is a risk to the people in that log and not just to us. We have no way to connect two clicks to the same person, and we have built it so that we cannot acquire one.
What happens after you click
Nothing, as far as we are concerned. The click sends you to the clinic's own website, WhatsApp, phone or email, and what you say to them is between you and them. We are not copied on it, we do not receive a lead, and the clinic does not tell us who got in touch. Once you leave this site you are covered by that clinic's privacy practices and by WhatsApp's, not by ours — and we have no control over either.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages are read and how fast they load. These are cookieless and do not fingerprint visitors or build a profile across sites. We attach a page's city or treatment to some page views so we can tell which parts of the directory are useful; nothing that identifies a person is attached.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting tags or session recording.
If you send us something
Clinic listing requests. The form at /claim is for clinics, and asks for a clinic name, a contact name, an email address, and optionally a phone number, city, website and message. We use it to reply and to discuss a listing. It is not a patient form.
Reviews. If you submit a review we store the name you give, your rating and your text. Nothing is published until a person here approves it. Use a first name or initials if you would rather not be identifiable — reviews are public once approved, and a review of a fertility clinic says something about you that you may not want indexed.
Email. If you email us, we have your email. We keep the correspondence while it is useful for answering you, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies. The one cookie this application uses is a session cookie on the password-protected admin area, which only we can reach. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing for you to consent to.
Where the data is, and who sees it
The site runs on Vercel and the database is MongoDB Atlas, both hosted in the United States. If you are reading this from the EU, the UK or Canada, that means data described above is processed in the US.
Clinics see counts, never people: a clinic's report shows how many clicks it received, from which pages, on which days. It does not identify anybody, because we do not hold anything that could. We do not sell or share data with anyone else, and we have no data to sell.
How long we keep things
Click records are kept as billing records. Listing requests are kept while we are dealing with them and for our own records afterwards. Approved reviews stay published until you ask us to remove one.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Email us and we will act on it.
Be aware of the honest answer you will usually get: if you have only browsed the site and clicked through to clinics, we hold nothing that we could match to you, so there is nothing to return and nothing to delete. That is by design. If you have sent us a listing request, an email or a review, we do hold that, and we will remove it on request.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes, and how to reach us
If we change what we collect, we will change this page and the date at the top of it. We will not start collecting something described here as not collected without saying so.
Questions, corrections, or a deletion request: contact us. For what our clinic labels mean and how paid placement works, see our methodology.
This page describes our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for one if your circumstances require it.
