Our Methodology

How Clinics Enter Our Directory

Most of the 131 clinics listed here were found by our own research into fertility facilities operating in Mexican cities, and compiled from the clinic's own website and publicly available records. Clinics can also ask to be listed, and patients sometimes tell us about one we had missed.

Being listed is not an endorsement and does not mean we have spoken to the clinic. We record what we can confirm from those sources — services offered, languages, published pricing, accreditations the clinic states — and we mark each of those on the listing so you can see which ones we have and which we do not. A clinic is removed from our listings if we find it has closed, or if it turns out to be a booking agency rather than a clinic.

What “Verified” Means

“Verified” here means one narrow, specific thing: a person on our team has checked that the phone number, WhatsApp number or email address we publish for a clinic actually reaches that clinic. Until that check is done we do not publish the contact details at all, even when we hold them, because a dead number costs you more than a missing one.

Everything else on a listing is recorded, not verified, and is labelled that way:

• ·Accreditations are as stated by the clinic or its public records. We have not inspected COFEPRIS registration documents.
• ·Pricing is the clinic’s own published or self-reported figure, at the date we recorded it.
• ·Success rates are clinic self-reported and shown as such. We hold no independently audited outcome data for any clinic.
• ·Languages and services are as the clinic describes them.
• ·We have not visited any facility, and we do not evaluate laboratory standards, staff qualifications or medical outcomes.

Nothing on this site is a clinical endorsement. Before you commit to treatment, ask the clinic directly for its COFEPRIS registration number, a written itemized quote, and its own success-rate data for patients in your situation — and consult a specialist you trust.

What COFEPRIS Accreditation Means — and How We Check It

COFEPRIS — the Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios — is Mexico's federal health regulator, the rough equivalent of the FDA. Clinics performing assisted reproduction are required to be registered with it, and registration covers the facility's sanitary licence and its authorisation to handle human tissue. It is a licensing regime, not a quality ranking: COFEPRIS registration says a clinic is legally permitted to operate. It does not say the laboratory is good, the embryologist is experienced, or the outcomes are strong.

How we record it: from the clinic's own website or published materials, or from public records where those are available. We have not inspected registration certificates and we have not confirmed individual registration numbers against a COFEPRIS database. That is the honest limit of what this badge represents.

What a missing badge means: that we have not recorded it — nothing more. We hold no evidence that any clinic in this directory lacks COFEPRIS registration, and an unmarked listing is not an accusation. Before you book anywhere, ask the clinic directly for its COFEPRIS registration number. A registered clinic will give it to you without hesitating, and a clinic that will not has told you something useful.

What Gets a Clinic Removed

A listing is not permanent. These are the things that take one down, and they apply to paying clinics exactly as they apply to everyone else:

• ✕The clinic has closed, or we can no longer find evidence it is operating.
• ✕It turns out to be a booking agency, a medical-tourism intermediary or a lead broker rather than a clinic that treats patients on its own premises.
• ✕It is not in a city this directory covers — a record filed under the wrong city is hidden rather than relabelled, because its URL has to keep resolving.
• ✕It is a duplicate of a listing we already carry. We keep both records and hide one, so no URL ever breaks and the hidden record’s traffic is credited to the listing that is live.
• ✕It loses its authorisation to operate, or a regulator acts against it.
• ✕It asks to be removed.

18 records are currently hidden for one of these reasons. They keep their URLs and still resolve; they are simply not listed, not counted, and not submitted to search engines.

What does not get a clinic removed: not paying us. Featured placement is a position, and a clinic that stops paying keeps its listing exactly as it was. We have never removed a clinic for declining to buy one, and a directory that did would not be worth reading.

Claims We Will Not Publish

Some clinics state things we cannot source. A 100% IVF success rate, or “the highest pregnancy rates in the region”, is a medical claim with no public dataset behind it, and the clinic most motivated to make one is often the one most worth being careful about. Where we encounter such a claim we record it against the listing and do not render it. Nothing on this site displays those fields.

We hold a self-reported success rate for 14 of the 131 clinics we list, and 10 of them publish a price. Both are shown as the clinic's own figures, never as ours. You can see every price we hold, with its source stated, on our IVF pricing data page.

What “Featured” Means — Paid Placement Disclosure

Featured clinics appear at the top of city and all-clinics listings, get a wide card above the city grid, and carry a Featured badge. Featured placement is a commercial arrangement: it buys position only. It does not add an accreditation badge, a rating, a review or a success rate to a listing, it does not change any figure shown on one, and it does not indicate that a clinic is higher-quality, more accredited, or more suitable than a clinic that has not bought a slot.

Our editorial content — blog articles, clinic descriptions, and city guides — is written independently. Featured clinics do not receive preferential treatment in editorial coverage, and we do not accept payment to influence article content.

How Pricing Data Is Gathered

Pricing is the clinic's own published figure, recorded at the date we captured it. We do not estimate, and we do not average a price into existence for a clinic that has not published one — which is why most listings say “Request pricing” rather than showing a number.

Prices shown as ranges reflect that the cost of a cycle depends on protocol, medication and optional add-ons. Where a clinic published a single figure we show a single figure rather than inventing a spread around it.

We update pricing when clinics notify us of changes, or during our periodic review process.

Important: Always request a written, itemized quote directly from any clinic before committing to treatment. Our pricing data is a guide for initial comparison only.

What We Do Not Cover

Mexico Fertility Directory covers clinic logistics, cost comparisons, and the practical aspects of planning fertility treatment abroad. We do not:

• ✕Provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations
• ✕Evaluate clinical outcomes or recommend specific protocols
• ✕Verify physician credentials or embryologist qualifications
• ✕Audit laboratory standards or equipment
• ✕Mediate patient complaints or disputes with clinics
